Biology makes me drool in my sleep.

School started yesterday. It's great!! I'm excited for this year, if for nothing else than because I'm taking a history class! For those of you who don't know, I'm this HUGE history nerd, but I'm not taking AP this year because (a)Guidance said no, and (b)I want to be the smartest one in my class for a change. And I'm excited because I have my first ever Honors class! Hurrah! English will be awesome, if for no other reason than the fact that I have it with Hannah, and Laura. I'm so excited that it's unnatural.

The unfortunate part of school means a return to art (I sit next to Vincent, big surprise.) and a return to Mrs Hasemann.

Now don't get me wrong. I love Mrs Hasemann. She's the sweetest woman on the planet, and a wonderful teacher. But I've had her all year for the first two years of my highschool career. This woman has litterally seen me evolve from clumsy freshman to sophisticated (pah!) junior. But enough is enough man! I'm ready to move on and broaden my horizons!

It doesn't help matters that the text this semester (that stupid Environmental Science book) puts me to sleep. Seriously. I think it's cursed. I started to read it yesterday, but it's so dull that I read the first two paragraphs four times and fell asleep, only to wake up four and a half hours later. Today when I got home, I read a page, and next thing I know it's 1pm and I'm conked out on the couch with a string of drool leading from my mouth to the throw pillow. Nice visual I've created there, I'm sure.

Around 3:30 I finally sat down, blasted some music and made myself read enough to get the first assignment done (which was only eight pages, but you know?).

By the time I was finished with it, it was 5:00 and I was ready to go back to sleep. Does homework normally take this long? No, seriously. I haven't actually done homework since freshman year since I had over an hour and a half of study hall last year. Is it normal to take an hour and a half to read eight highly comprehensive mind-numbing pages, answer four questions, and make a list of 20 countries from the text for later use?

Or is this just me?

Maybe it has something to do with the 4:30am wakeup time I have to have now because that ass-hat of a schoolboard decided to move the schoolday up. You think?
